Jango User guide - Components/In Page Elements

In-Page elements refer to small pieces of code which are displayed on the left or right of a page. There are a number of pre-installed In-Page Elements; however it is easy to create more using HTML and/or JavaScript. In-Page Elements cannot contain PHP code.

Using In-Page elements

Items on the front-end of the site such as "Who's Online" and the "User Menu" are called In-page Elements. These items are usually found on either the left or right hand sides of the pages.

Editing In-page Elements

The default In-page Elements cannot actually have their functionality edited through this area, however what page and side (left or right) they appear can be edited. Any newly created elements can have their content edited. To edit an element simply click on the name. The following attributes can be changed:

Creating New In-page Elements

  • Click on 'New' at the top of the page.
  • Enter the name and display title(can be left blank) for the element
  • Choose a position(left or right) to display the element
